Apple iPhone 5 Features At A Glance
The video surely is quite impressive, focusing mainly on the build quality, design and features.
A remarkably slim design that still makes room for a larger display and a faster chip. Ultrafast wireless that doesn’t sacrifice battery life. And all-new headphones designed to sound great and fit comfortably. So much went into this iPhone. So you could get even more out of it. – Apple
Design and Build
The iPhone 5 is the thinnest, lightest and fastest smartphone yet. As claimed by Apple, it was not an easy process to include everything they wanted to into the new smartphone and cut down on depth and weight too, but after innovating different solutions, they were able to achieve their goal. The new nano-SIM measures 44 percent less than the previously used micro-SIM card. The new reversible Lightening connector is 80 percent smaller than the original 30-pin connector. For those of you who think this is going to be an issue, Apple is also selling a 30-pin converter on their website and retail stores to make sure you don’t need to give away your accessories after the smartphone upgrade.
The result of innovating a display which features touch embedded into the screen without the need of using two separate layers of display was a 30 percent thinner screen. The surface of the iSight camera has been made out of sapphire crystal, which is second hardest, just after diamond. Also, the diamond-cut beveled edges give the phone a classy sheen. It terms of looks, the iPhone 5 doesn’t seem to lack anywhere.
Display
The new Retina display on the iPhone 5 surely is bigger than the 4S, but what we liked about it most was that although the size of the display has been increased, the width has not been changed to make the phone comfortable to hold and operate the phone and use the keyboard with one hand, like most users used to earlier.
Not only is the display bigger, but it better too in terms of quality. The color saturation has been boosted to an impressive 44 percent more than before. Watching movies, playing games, or even working for that matter will be a great pleasure on it. Not to forget, watching movies and videos on a widescreen HD display will surely be a treat to the eyes of entertainment lovers.
Performance
With the addition of the A6 chip, the iPhone 5 performs close to twice as fast compared to the A5 chip, which means faster web-browsing, opening apps, sending emails, playing games, and a lot more. The graphics performance on the new chip has also been tweaked to perform twice as fast, allowing a much smoother gaming experience with high frame rates.
Not only is the A6 chip designed to be faster, but it is also functioned to work with iOS 6 to be extremely power efficient. Even at accelerated speeds, the phone will have more than enough backup to last a whole day, with upto 8 hours of LTE browsing, 8 hours talktime, and 10 hours of video playback time.
The iPhone 5 surely will be a great competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S III, and other high-end smartphones. It has already made its mark with the features bundled into the thinnest, lightest yet fastest iPhone yet.
