It was a December to remember for Microsoft’s gaming consoles, according to research cited by the company.
NPD Group figures in Microsoft’s hands reveal 908,000 Xbox One units sold last month in the US, making it the best selling gaming gear stateside.
The older generation held strong too; according to the consumer market research firm, the Xbox 360 sold 643,000 units during the month, placing it in the lead of last-gen consoles and No. 3 overall.
Combined, Microsoft’s machines accounted for 46% of the US’ hardware market share and nabbed 10% growth from December 2012.
